Refund, Return & Exchange Policy

At IHKAR, we stand behind the quality of our handcrafted products. If your order isn’t quite right, we’re here to help you with a fair and simple return or exchange process.

1. Return & Exchange Eligibility

You may request a return, replacement, or refund under the following conditions:

  • You received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item
  • The product delivered is significantly different from what was shown on the website
  • There is a manufacturing defect (torn fabric, misaligned print) 

Conditions for Return Acceptance

  • The product must be unused, unwashed, unaltered, and in its original condition
  • All tags, invoices, and packaging must be intact
  • The issue must be reported within 24 hours of delivery
  • Returns are subject to approval after inspection
  • Return packages must reach us within 7 days of return approval.

Note: Handcrafted variations (minor color differences, weaving irregularities, etc.) are natural and not considered defects.

 

2. How to Report an Issue

  • Email info@ihkar.com within 24 hours of receiving your order Include:
    • Your Order ID
    • A clear description of the issue
    • Photographs of the item and packaging

⚠️ Do not return any product without receiving a Return Authorization from our team.

 

3. Resolution Options

Once your return is verified and approved, you can choose one of the following:

a. Replacement

We’ll dispatch a replacement product via express shipping at no additional cost.

b. Exchange

You may opt for an alternate product of equal or higher value (additional charges may apply).

c. Full Refund

If you prefer not to replace or exchange, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method.

d. Store Credit or Gift Voucher(Optional)

If you prefer, we can issue a digital IHKAR gift voucher of the refund amount, redeemable on any future purchase.

 

4. Return Logistics

  • Reverse Pickup: Arranged by IHKAR in eligible locations within 7 business days.
  • Self-Shipping: If reverse pickup is unavailable, customers must courier the product to the address provided. 
  • We’ll reimburse shipping up to ₹200 with a valid receipt.
  • All return parcels must reach us within 7 working days of return approval.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a verified product defect to error.
  • Ensure the product is safely packed to avoid damage during transit. IHKAR is not responsible for any damage or loss during transit.

 

5. Return & Exchange Limitations -Not eligible for return/exchange:

  • The item has been used, worn, washed, or altered.
  • The item is returned without original tags, packaging, or invoice.
  • Damage occurs after delivery.
  • Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless defective.
  • Minor color or texture variations due to lighting or screen differences.
  • Handmade irregularities (slight weave, dye, or minor colour imperfections)

 

6. Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled before dispatch with no penalty.
  • For cancellations after dispatch, the return policy will apply.
  • For prepaid orders cancelled post-dispatch, ₹100 will be deducted as shipping fees.

 

7. Refund Timelines

  • Refunds are initiated within 5–7 business days after receiving and verifying the returned product.
  • It may take an additional 2–5 business days for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

 

8. Important Notes

  • Always inspect the outer packaging before accepting delivery.
  • If the package is tampered with or damaged, mention remarks on the delivery slip or refuse the parcel.

9. Gifts

  • If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, a store credit will be issued for the return value.
  • If the gift was ordered by someone else and delivered to them, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
